Eligibility Criteria
The Italian digital nomad visa is tailored for non-EU citizens who are highly skilled professionals. To qualify, applicants must:

- Income Requirement: Demonstrate an annual income of at least €28,000.
- Work Experience: Have a minimum of six months of remote work experience.
- Educational Background: Hold a university degree or possess at least five years of professional experience.
- Health Insurance: Provide proof of valid health insurance covering the entire duration of stay in Italy.
- Accommodation: Show documented evidence of suitable accommodation in Italy.

Application Process
Prospective applicants should schedule an in-person appointment at the Italian consulate in their country of residence, bringing all necessary documentation to demonstrate compliance with the visa requirements. Upon approval, and within eight days of arriving in Italy, individuals must apply for a residence permit at the local police headquarters (Questura) in their chosen province. This permit is valid for one year and can be renewed annually, provided the original conditions are still met.
Family members of the primary visa holder are also eligible to apply for residence permits, allowing families to experience life in Italy together.
